The GFWC Sylvania Junior Woman's Club was charted in November 1968.
First Meeting:   November 14, 1968
Objectives:       Shall be fellowship of members and service to the community by providing education, civic and cultural activities.  The Club shall not operate for profit.

Our major projects are:

• Miss Screven County Livestock Festival Pageant
• Soup Kitchen
• Grandparents Day at Pineview Nursing Home
• Little Free Library
• Wreaths Across America

We are active in the following GFWC Community Service Programs:

• Health and Wellness CSP
